Vikings devait se terminer avec sa sixième saison, mais Netflix a commandé une suite intitulée Vikings Valhalla. La chaîne History diffusera l'ultime saison de Vikings dès le 4 décembre prochain. Mais alors que tous les fans pensaient voir l'univers se clore avec cette sixième salve d'épisodes, le géant du streaming Netflix a décidé de mettre son grain de sel et de continuer à raconter l'histoire de ce peuple. L'annonce de ce spin-off n'est pas une totale nouveauté puisqu'on a appris en janvier dernier la volonté de Michael Hirst créateur et scénariste de tous les épisodes de créer une nouvelle série issue du même univers. During the show's season 6 premiere at Paramount Pictures Studios in Los Angeles on Dec. 14, the cast and creator Dan Fogelman teased what lies in store for this final chapter. "The first couple of episodes are really just setting everybody up for a bit of a ride," Fogelman told PEOPLE. "It's kind of like the part of the rollercoaster where you're just ticking upwards. There are no big, gigantic or crazy things happening at the end of the first episode. This isn't a season about a build. "But I've been pretty firm on creatively just knowing that it would be really hard to go past where we've gone this year, and it would be hard to keep the level where we've all tried to keep the level. So it definitely feels like the end and the time to go. Who the hell knows? My wife is very excited to go turn on the Sex and the City show all this time later. So I'm not speaking about the far future — or even the near future — though there's certainly no plans."
